The rapid test to detect borrelia spp. antibodies in blood, serum and plasma of dogs
The Fassisi LymeBo is an immunochromatographic rapid test that detects antibodies against the Borrelia burgdorferi antigen in the blood of dogs.
Lyme borreliosis is an infectious disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi. It is the most common infection transmitted by Borrelia. On average, every third tick carries borreliosis bacteria. An infection of the animal with the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi after a tick bite is therefore relatively probable and should be considered in any case.
Approximately 5-20 % of all dogs in Germany carry Borrelia antibodies in their blood and are or have been infected. Usually symptoms such as loss of appetite and mattness only appear about four to six weeks after the tick bite.
The Fassisi LymBo helps you to detect an infection with Borellia spp. antibodies reliably and fast. The test only detects field antibodies and no vaccine antibodies. A false positive result due to a previously injected vaccination can therefore be ruled out with a high degree of probability.
